Hi,

If you go to Menu > Settings > About Device it should tell you the model number of the phone.

That looks like a copy Sony Xperia. I could be wrong.

Pretty sure it is. It has all the bells and whistles of a generic (not original) sony xperia phone.

What I usually do is this phone is carefully take out the digitizer (Touch screen glass + Digitizer) because these are usually separate from LCD and are not glued together. You look at the digitizer flex cable and see if you can see any model numbers on there.

Search that on eBay and you might find the screen for it.

Can you give a couple of links on the differences between generic and original?

It's actually hard to distinguish from the outside other than the material feeling different than the original one.

@OP: Try entering factory mode: You can do this via turning off the phone. Holding the volume down and volume up with the power button. You will see a blue screen, sometimes this is in chinese.

You can navigate in this menu with hardware buttons:

Volume up: Back

Volume: Down

Power: Enter

Navigate to version info and record all the information stored there. Remember not to post your IMEI or Serial Number here.

You can check if it's a original one or not through checking the IMEI on the phone:

thanks, ben.

i will check that site for further reference on imei's, but in this case my lcd is broken so i cant really know what Imei it is...from the system & don't say anywhere on the back or interior of the phone...

i took it all apart last night successfully with out having a clue but it work. i have the screen serial now. it will be easier to find the replacement this way...

Some of my parts providers said it is a Xperia Z3 Pluss but i am still not sure..

It is not my phone it is a clients cellphone i repair smartphones from home in mexico, but the owner will have to deal with this is i cant find a part anywhere.

But thanks again for your help. Cheers.

The original z3+ screen would not work as it uses one display flex cable at the bottom of the LCD.

These parts are a bit difficult to get as most are in China and you would need to contact Chinese suppliers to find the part
