The battery on my LG Spectrum runs out really fast. It's advertised as having an 8-hour battery life, but it only lasts for around 3 hours. It runs out so quickly that it will die if I use it while its plugged in to charge. I've only had the phone for a year or so and I would rather not replace it. Is it just a problem with my settings or is do I need to fix something within the phone?

@liam314 check your settings as well as any app that runs in the back ground. If you find that all of those settings a proper consider replacing the battery not the phone.

First off check to see if you have multiple apps running simultaneously in the background, and make sure you close them all to see if that fixes the problem. If that doesn't work, I would recommend uninstalling all your third party applications that might use the Bluetooth or Wifi, or automatic app updates, because they use up a lot of the battery.
If neither of those solutions fixes your problem, I would recommend buying a battery extension, or a brand new battery, and see how that goes. You can also use the guide that is provided on the previous page to help you by guiding you on a step by step basis on how to achieve that.
