Best method to fix water damage with isopropanol? Is my method good?

I'm new to fixing water damaged phones (and phones in general), so I wanted to check my potential method before I use it. Does this sound as though it would work?

1. Remove the logic board from the iPhone 6

2. Submerse logic board in a container of 99.9% isopropanol and gently brush it and leave it to soak for about 1 - 2 hours

3. Take it out of the isopropanol and leave it for 12 hours to dry

4. Put it back in the phone and test it

Do you have any tips/advise?

Thanks

John Taylor, yes that will work. You do not have to leave it to soak nor do you have to leave it to dry for 12 hours. The alcohol will dissipate quickly. The trick here is that you will have to repeat the brushing and cleaning a few times. Do not use any compressed air to dry the board since that could potentially drive moisture/debris under components and cause a short circuit. Check this guide for some really good ideas:-) just remember that you will always have to remove the EMI shields for a complete cleaning.

If thats all the tools you have then yes. give it a shot. but i think 2 hours is overkill

I use high pressure air to clean it after removing it from the isopropanol. but if u dont got then leave overnight

Or if you have ultra sound cleaner. thats even better.
