How to replace power management IC, helping components and Track circu

It wont turn on so i gave it to a mechanic for diagnosis he said three things need to be fixed ,

1, Power Management IC replacement

2, Power IC helping components replacement

3, Track making/fixing circuitry

Its very expensive to get fixed by the mechanic , if someone could please help me to locate these parts and how to test them as there is no power supply to logic board and if you can also tell me how to replace for fix it , thanks in advance :-) ,,first time here hoping to find some genius :-)

What is happening when you boot up that you feel these components need replacing?

What is the color of the MagSafe plug? (Orange or Green) Does it ever get to Green?

If the MagSafe LED is not lighting, you need to check the AC adapter to make sure it's working and the MagSafe cord is not damaged as that can damage your system.

Look for any bumps in the cord or areas where the outer covering is damaged. Also inspect the connector face. We want to make sure it is clean and the pins when pressed slightly retract (make sure the unit is not plugged in when testing). Use a cotton swab slightly dampened with a high grade of isopropyl alcohol (85% or better). Likewise, inspect the MacBook's MagSafe connector, is it clean and not distorted or have any burnt marks?

Try the MagSafe adapter again, if it looks OK, is the LED on it lighting up now? If not locate another adapter which is known to be good is it lighting up now?

OK, you've tried two adapters neither is lighting up. Then we will need to open the system and inspect and if needed replace the MagSafe connector. Follow this IFIXIT guide: MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Late 2011 MagSafe DC-In Board Replacement.

hi there sorry for late reply, i tried every thing and changed the dc in power jack , now the light on the charger is flicking orange and the laptop is still not turning on.

Did you get your system wet? Did you sit it down on a wet surface or spill something into the keyboard? Are you in a very humid environment?

If you got a different reaction after changing out the DC-In Board and used a second MagSafe charger it sounds like you might have had a power surge or a lightning hit that damaged your system if your system didn't have any liquid damage. Is that what happened? Did you leave your system plugged in during the storm?

da

hi dan , no i did not wet it and i am not in very humid environment, and there was no storm while the laptop stop working. thank you please rep ly with help :-)

Then the cause was most likely a power surge. I do strongly recommend surge suppressor sand UPS systems to protect your system as you never know.

Sadly, your logic board needs repairs. I suspect the MOSFETs and your voltage comparator logic are damaged.

is there a way that i can fix those , thanks dan

Okay, so you replaced the MagSafe board, and now the charger LED is turning orange, which it wasn't before. That means that before, the electricity was not reaching the battery, either because the the MagSafe card was damaged, the logic board was damaged or the battery was dead. If you replace the MagSafe card and it changes, the MagSafe card was part of the problem. Now, what else happens as a result of that problem?

If the battery is drained, but the computer sees the battery and thinks it works, you may have to get it charged up a little before the laptop will start - even if it's on an AC charger. Leave the computer connected to the charger overnight; then check the battery sensor on the left side of the bottom case, and see if more than one of the charge LEDs light up.

It's probably also a good idea to reset the SMC controller before attempting your next start:

Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac

Once you've done all that, try to power up your computer.

It's possible that the battery is dead, or nearly dead; it's five years old. Some laptops will run successfully with AC+dead battery, but there doesn't seem to be a consistent pattern. If your battery is having problems and you can't replace it immediately, you can try disconnecting the battery from the logic board and using the AC only, at least as an experiment.

For what it's worth, I used a 2008 MacBook Aluminum with a damaged battery circuit as my desktop system for several years. A liquid spill had damaged the logic board's power circuit, so it couldn't recognize any battery installed. It worked fine from AC only, but I had to be very careful moving the laptop around to avoid disconnecting the MagSafe plug.

Please report back with the results.

thank you for your answer, i left the charger connected over night and next morning neither it shows the battery level nor does it turn on, tried smc reset and also i unplugged the batter connector to logic board and see if it works with the charger only but nothing worked, light is still flicking very fast orange and green.
