Screen slowly stopped working,

while using my macbook pro retina (which has already once had its screen replaced by apple) as usual watching youtube.

the image started to slowly to fade looking washed out & a little while latter faded completely away leaving only black & white lines that somewhat corresponds to whats on screen with a B&W silhouette .

i actually managed to pull out my phone and record it happening if that helps.

this is a picture of both the screen and my monitor so you can compare to see what is shown on the internal display and whats actually there.

as it was out of warranty i resigned myself to having to use my macbook pro as a desktop from know on, but almost a year later i really miss having a laptop.

i asked someone at an apple store they suggested that when installing the replacement screen, the monitor ribbon might not have been secularly connected & have come lose causing this effect. if thats the case it should be a fairly simple fix, but i don't know.

apple took it and accepted that they had to replace it. they also decide that the motherboard needs replacing and under an eu law had to pay for that too.

so frustrated with apple when ifixit was so usefull

@roraigh Outside of Prayer, knowledge can be a very powerful ally. I take it that Apple mentioned nothing about this repair program until you brought it up.

Take it in to an ASP (authorized service provider), not Apple and ask them to test it for this repair extension program: https://www.apple.com/support/macbookpro...

UPDATE 3/2/16

The reason I wanted you to go to an ASP is because Apple has no real incentive to mention or do the repair for free. An ASP gets paid by Apple to do it. I get the joy of helping someone.
