OS X El Capitan Installation is stuck
I just got my laptop back from the repair shop and the hardware was removed and replaced so I had to start fresh from the beginning (like new).
I decided to upgrade to OS X El Capitan, the download worked well and took about a day to complete for me.
But when my computer restarted and continued the installation on the white screen with the Apple logo it progressed a tiny bit and froze. I manually turned off the computer and it just reset to the same screen and it progressed back to the same spot as it was frozen.
What do I do to fix this? Should I wait it out because it could be taking longer than usual? Or install a new version of the Lion?
HELP!

What did they remove/replace?

@alexhus Do I press those keys when I hear the chime? or as soon as I turn on

If they replaced the HD, there's likely no recovery partition present. If he was lucky and his systems firmware was updated he could have access to Internet recovery. Otherwise he will need to install from an external drive.
