Touch screen doesn't work!

I purchased a replacement screen for my iPhone 6 Plus from fixit and immediately after replacing the screen the screen i realized the screen kind of flashes at the top of the screen and you have to press the screen in just the right place in order to get the touch screen to work. I already disconnected and connected the connectors and they are connected just fine. I hope i just got a faulty screen and nothing is wrong with the phone. i am worried though, because i had gotten a replacement screen from a local repair shop and the touch screen only worked for about a week and then the screen got very glitchy touch screen wise. i hope it isn't anything to do with my phone, as it is out of warranty, and i don't have lots of money to get a new phone.

i looked for any "banana'd" connectors, and the touch screen connector was slightly... well... banana'd. i pushed on it gently to straighten it out again and tried reconnecting the connectors to the logic board. No luck. touch screen still doesn't respond and top of the screen flashes.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!! I called Ifixit and they are sending a new screen. it that fixes the problem i will let you guys know.

This is a belated answer so hopefully it can be of use to folks who search for and find this question.

Touch Disease is a common failure on the iPhone 6 Plus.

At first, the phone will typically develop intermittent touch control failure. For some phones, a gray/white bar starts appearing at the top of the screen. Twisting and applying pressure in certain spots sometimes allows touch control to work for a short period of time, but eventually, the touch interface ceases to function entirely. This is colloquially known as Touch Disease. You can look at my profile for a link to a blog article on Touch Disease or search the web for more info.

This is not a DIY repair. Look for a repair shop that can do micro-soldering repairs to properly diagnose and repair your problem.

I solved the problem myself 2 days ago in 3 parts first step sold the phone used ,second step 2 attempts an hour long and 2 hours long contact apple to remove all my personal info from the phone and reset 2 hour long was first attempt to figure out i forgot my much needed password wait 24 hours for an apple email second attempt go thru process again fortunately during process recalling password and sorted out out just had to wait for 24 more hours for apple to contact me back again to explain no longer necessary 24 hrs later final step for me received email stating that the first 24 hr waits were for myself to sort things out and that this email was to inform me that there was a 2 week wait for me to be able to reset my password ah what a lousy customer service they were all so nice and helpful and friendly to help me thru the online process i didnt understand over the telephone ....because nobody wanted to tell me that there was a 2week delay if i didnt have access to an apple device to log into my itunes account to reset it from in seconds ,so theyll only help you if youre currently using there equipment and there system the fact that i couldnt find my laptop charger didnot matter any non apple device will get you no service or treated third rate but not over the phone those people are great very nice its the online part that belittles you
