AC adapter broke its self?
I recently bought a new power cord and battery from iFixit which worked amazingly.
But today, my computer lost power (even though it was plugged in) and I thought it might just be because some connections were loose, or maybe I needed to adjust something.
But after me trying to change power outlets in my house, and assuring myself that connections were fine, I came to the conclusion that my cord was broken, but I had no clue why; It had happened so spontaneously. Then I thought about what could have made it die and what I think the problem was, is that it over heated itself to melt whatever is in that block part of the cable. I noticed that the "block part's" (I am not very knowledgeable on the subject of computer terminology) plastic cover was warped and bumpy all over it. I don't want to have to buy another cord, is there anything I can do?
I am in school, and I need my computer for a lot of assignments, so ordering a cord would be one of the least desirable options.
Thank you for putting in some of your time to read this. :-)
Questa è una buona domanda?
IFIXIT will replace your power cord if it was defective. I would first do that.
