How Can I Remove Data, Even Though it Won't Turn On?

Hello all, I dropped my S6 in water yesterday. I went through the full evaporation and drying process, and today tried to turn it back on. It will show the title screen, but when it goes to boot the OS it crashes and starts over. I can access the repair menu, and it seems a factory restore would solve my issues, but I have some pictures, videos, and notes on the phone that are invaluable to me and I don't want to lose. There must be some way to transfer some of that data to my computer from the repair screen. Honestly, I would even be opposed to tearing the phone apart if it meant I could keep my files. I'm really looking for any kind of tips I can get here. Thank you very much.

There is no recovering data from a phone that wont boot . restoring the phone wont likely help you, you will need to find the damaged area and clean and repair it . cleaning the board in a distilled water and cleaning solution in a sonic bath will clean under areas inaccessible with a brush and alcohol. but that said aside from getting the phone to boot there is no way to recover your data.

This seems to be a common problem with s6 after water damage, especially 920v (verizon) model.

First thing to try is booting into recovery and "clear cache partition" (will not delete your data)

If that doesn't work you can try disassembling and cleaning the motherboard with 99% isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush, pay special attention to where the battery connector is on the motherboard, look for corrosion, remove some of the metal shields, clean again in distilled water then isopropyl alcohol, let the board dry out in warm area or under lamp/ heat gun completely, then reinstall.

in my experience this has about 40% success, if the corrosion is old and looks bad, about 10% or less

many after this cleaning process will still reboot / boot loop and it is a hardware/ physical damage problem, very common after water damage, I just don't know where on the board to start troubleshooting if it is not the battery connection on the motherboard. any input of course appreciated.

opening your phone will void warranty, but with water damage, you probably don't have a warranty claim anyways.
