Why won't my 5c turn on or charge also lines across screen

I dropped my phone on to carpet recently with no visible damage, then vertical lines appeared on the screen which wouldn't work, it also wouldn't charge. It has since ran out of battery and was completely un responsive until I replaced the lightening connector. Now when I try to charge or connect to iTunes the apple logo flashes up on the screen with a cross shape of lines behind it but will still not function.

I've tried restarting, force restarting, force restarting connected to iTunes and I've opened the phone up and cleaned with an alcohol based cleaner and toothbrush, none of these actions have made a difference.

Can someone please help me?

I'm not sure if I fully understood your problem - but if it's white lines going across your screen one of the potential fixes is a power cycle.

This can be done by disconnecting the battery and holding down the power for a few seconds to drain power from all components. Once done, simply reconnect the battery, turn on as normal and hope for the best.

I hope this solution works for you.

Thank you for your reply.

I tried your solution but it hasn't worked unfortunately. Any more ideas? I'm happy to replace parts trial and error as long as they're inexpensive.

Still struggling gentlemen (and ladies), any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried a new screen? It may be the screen causing the issue. If not, it may well be the connections on the logic board.
