Lights up normal, but won't start 3 beeps

I have an older Kenmore elite dryer all of a sudden will light up like normal, but when I press start it beeps 3 times and does nothing. From reading I see several possibilities door switch, fuse ect. I also see a test mode mentioned, but I don't have a manual so I don't know how to diagnose. Any Ideas?
