How do I remove this "QIY" virus?

I have this virus, I think its Chinese ads, going on in my laptop for months now and I can't seem to remove it.

I found two files of it and I deleted one but I can't seem to delete or remove the other, the other was "|QIY| Video". Whenever I try to delete it, it says "the action can't be completed because the folder PR file in it is open in another program". I tried exiting the program that keeps on popping on my screen and delete it again but it still say the same thing.

The only sure fire way of removing a virus is to do a clean install. Back up your data and reformat

Hi,

As an example of what you can do, here is a link to Avast anti virus where you create an anti virus boot disc /USB which scans your pc without the OS running. https://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AV...

You don't have to use Avast a lot of AV provide the same option, just "google bootable usb anti virus

Hello!

One program will never be able to catch 100% of viruses. It's just how it is unfortunately. I would look into a program called "Hitman Pro". It's probably the best I've seen yet and I use it in conjuntion with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and this takes care of nearly everything! Good luck!

How, in what sequence, when, do you run them?

Order doesn't necessarily matter. I typically run Hitman first but it will work just as well regardless of one or the other being ran first.
