my mouse key pad is on and i need to know how to shut it down

Have you tried restarting your laptop?
What OS is installed?
If it is Win10, ensure that you have the latest Asus 'touchpad' driver for Win10 installed. Here is a link. Ensure that you select Win10 64bit as your OS. Scoll to pointing devices, click to open, download and install. Do not be tempted to download and install the other drivers on this page. If you are not having any other trouble it is not necessary.

Hi,
Pressing Fn and F9 (both keys together) should disable the touchpad. Pressing Fn and F9 again should enable it. Depending on your model, there may be an indicator light between the touchpad buttons which is ON when the touchpad is enabled and OFF when it is disabled.

My touchpad mouse suddenly disappeared and I have been trying the Fn and F9 but that doesn't seem to work. Any other suggestions? I have an ASUS F555L
