Why doesn´t my Walkman turn on?

I connect my Walkman E436F for it to charge on my computer, but it doesn´t charge at all. The screen only turns on for about 2 seconds and then it turns off. What can I do?

John it is possible that your battery is no longer accepting a charge. Replace your battery, if nothing else this will give you a known-good starting point.
