My Macbook 5,2(early or mid 2009?) suddenly has black screen. I replaced the display power inverter board, but that didn't fix it.
How can I tell if the on-logicboard video processor is bad, or the display itself?

Hook up an external monitor, if you get video through it then you know that the Logic Board and video processor are good.
