Screen wont turn on, battery and LCD+Digitizer replaced.

Hey There!

I replaced the battery and LCD+Digitzer combo on my Nexus 5, however the LCD screen does not respond.

I went swimming with my nexus 5 a few months back, I realize phones can't swim ;), and am trying to salvage the device. I opened it up and tried my best to clean everything, and figured it might just be the battery. After replacing said battery, and subsequently the LCD Screen+Digitizer combo, the phone is turning on, my PC is recognizing the device as a Nexus 5, and the phone is vibrating upon being touched, however the LCD screen is still not showing any signs of life.

I've been searching for a possible Main Board replacement, but can't seem to find anything for less than $150 or $200 which is much more than I'd rather spend. I've searched Craigslist and Ebay for broken Nexus 5's, but alas no luck on anything modestly priced.

Any thoughts on how I could fix the LCD screen? are there connections I should check? Or does anyone have a link to a cheap main board?

Nicholas Anderson, just to clarify. You cleaned the board properly isopropyl alcohol and all. Everything works except the LCD? Can you make anything out by shining a flashlight angled against the display? Your components looked okay when you cleaned the board? Lots of corrosion? You checked the connectors for any corrosion or bend/broken pins?

Nicholas Anderson, check your board with a meter. Try these steps. Check LCD Power in Main Board

TP1(DSV_EN), TP2(+5V5_DDVDH), TP3(-5V5_DDVDL), TP4(WLED_A) If you do not have power on those you may be looking at a new board. If you do have power on those, check for LCD Power in Lower FPCB TP5(+3V1_VREG_L22) TP6(+1V8_VREG_LVS3) TP7(+5V5_DDVDH) TP8(-5V5_DDVDL)If you do not have power on there you may need to replace the daughter board.

Ahhhh! You are awesome! I do not yet own a meter, but now I have reason to purchase one! I'll check the connections and get back to you, but I truly appreciate the detailed answer! Thanks for the help!
