iPhone 5 and 5s LCD glue removal, Alcohol doesn't work

Hello guys,

I have looked on this forum for my problem, and i tried everything to remove the glue from an iPhone 5s lcd .

I have successfully separated the glass from the lcd screen of an iPhone5s, but i cannot remove all the glue over the lcd. I tried to heat the screen and remove it manually and using 30° alcohol and nothing happened. I finally tried nail varnish remover and i removed the 80% of the glue but there are still some residuals. These can't be removed even with 90° alcohol.

Do i need an higher concentration of alcohol? What do you suggest?

Finally, can i do the same with an iPhone 5 lcd ( I don't know if the layers order are the same and i am scared to damage the higher one)

First of all you want to use 70 proof isopropyl alcohol or higher. 90 is what I normally use. Second of all, if you want some glue gone. I would use loca remover. However, I've noticed incredible amount of streaking, if it's used on anything besides Samsung. Also I've noticed that you can use rubbing alcohol, to remove the streaks left by the loca remover

I have read that loca glue remover doesn't work perfectly. I will try again with a powerful alcohol. I experimented this with many aftermarket screens and the lcd is very easy to break during the tear down, is that different from the original one cause I noticed that the original iPhone 5s lcd is much stronger than the after market ones.
