Strange contrast problem when removing wrapper

I have no doubt i have a fake screen on my hands but any idea when i do a screen repair and remove the screen wrapper/protector the contrast goes totally weird and washed out?

Sorted it, the little three prong back light connector had not been taped over, bit of electrical tape and sorted

its very bright like when you turn up the contrast on your tv.

Its odd, when i pull off the wrapper it does it, when i put the wrapper back on it goes back to normal!

I would say a defective screen? I guess? That's weird. I've only seen it happen, when after replacing a screen, it distorts for a second, then goes back to normal
