No backlight and bad battery after water spill
Had a water spill on the laptop. I opened it and dried it out really well. However, some damage:
1) Battery is bad
2) Display backlight is not working
The laptop works fine when I have it plugged in and mirrored to an external monitor. As soon as I unplug, it shuts off.
I can replace the battery, but any idea what could be causing the backlight issue? Or anything that could cause both battery and backlight from a liquid spill?
It's not in warranty and Apple said they would fix it for $700, which is not worth it. I'd like to fix it myself.
