I damaged the ribbon cable to the keyboard
I broke the keyboard ribbon cable! Is there a way to replace the cable or do I have to change the whole keyboard?

Did you damage the cable going to the logic board?
Follow this IFIXIT guide: MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Late 2008 and Early 2009 Upper Case Replacement
Sadly, Apple doesn't offer the cable alone for this model you would need to replace the entire uppercase - Ouch!
See if you can find a junker to steal the cable from.

Thanks. I'm gonna replace the keyboard, that I bought on eBay. what a pity.
but even if I found a junkie, I don't think I'll be able to unmount the cable and mount it on my keyboard instead... so I'll change the keyboard
