No power at all I need data off the phon how cani

Yes I know was a dumb idea now... but my charger port keep messing up till finally the charger port fell out..and this happens on a Friday nothing would open to fix it till monday.. I needed it then... so when I went dead I put battery in and cut one of my charger end off.. and tried to find the point that would charge .... lol .. will not come on at all now ... I just would like to get some pictures of my kids that I don't anywhere else ...mean a lot to me ..thanks

If I'm understanding you I think you cut the end off the charger cable and tried to charge the battery direct ,but you did it in the phone not out of it so you tried wiring the USB direct and shorted out the phone?

If this is the case try another battery that's already charged and see if the phones OK . If theirs no Joy then you have probably fried your phone. Your thought process is not to far off but you should not have tried to do it in the phone and you should have made sure you knew which were positive and negative wires before hooking things up. Just one last thought , you didn't happen to have a micro sd card in the phone. if so are pics there?

I did have a sd card in it but the pics I want never got moved to the sd card .. I went and bought the exact phone is there any way I can get the info from one to the other

If you cant get power to the old phone there's no way to move files . Have you tried another battery?
