Why does the screen of my lenovo tablet keep dimming randomly?

Sometimes when I use my lenovo tablet, it randomly dims the screen, even when I don't try to dim it. Help?

The easiest way to solve this issue is plz download brightness level app from the play store and u can control Ur lenovo gadget to set off from automatically getting dim.

Hi all! I wrote to lenovos facebook and lenovo support center about this problem and asked them to solve this with a new firmware. To be honest the lates official update is quiet old... 20160923. I hope they will fix this. :)

I have checked the settings on my tablet and nothing helps. It dims and brightens at random. I have a problem with the power port. When it is dim some apps will not work properly. When it gets bright they are fine.

This problem seems to be a common problem for this device. The easiest thing to do is to make sure all software updates are installed. Also, rebooting the tablet may also solve the problem.

If you are still having trouble with this device, you could check the troubleshooting guide here.

Hello!

I come bearing good news!

After conferring with Lenovo support, they tracked down the responsible driver updates for resolving this issue on the Lenovo Yoga 6 2022.

Latest Graphics Driver ( https://cutt.ly/UPbpd0o )

Latest Graphics Auxiliary Driver ( https://cutt.ly/IPbpKDo )

It's recommended to install both and perform a restart to finalize the install. Then you should have responsive flip and orient, and no auto-dim to black.

I had the same problem with my Lenovo tablet and i found this solution in another forum:

1) Swipe down from the left top of the screen (notification area)

2) Notice the Endurance notification.

3) To the right of Endurance there is a small pair of sunglasses.

4) Touch the sunglasses to toggle.

You may want to go to your settings menu and see if maybe you have any power saving modes turned on or if you have an auto adjust feature for screen brightness which may be turned on. Some power saving modes may dim the display to save power or your tablet may also have the auto adjust feature which can sense how bright of environment the tablet is in and will adjust the display brightness to a level more comfortable for viewing. Like in a low light area the screen will dim or in a bright area the screen will get brighter. So look through your settings menu and look to see if you have any of these settings enabled. If so try adjusting them. It sounds more like the auto adjust brightness feature to me.

If changing the settings does not fix the issue then reply back and I would be glad to help you troubleshoot further.

OMG! Thank you so much!! I went down the selection list in Settings looking for anything relating to Display or Color...and under Accessibility I found Color Correction and it was turned on. After turning it on, I rebooted and VIOLA!! Icon colors did not fade. Thank you so much. I love my Yoga tablet, but this one thing drove me NUTS.

I have been having the same ridiculous problem. I can't watch some videos because some night scenes are hardly visible.

By chance, under settings in the system section, I enabled the Smart Side Bar. This appears to have fixed the problem by some strange reasoning.

I had this exact same problem too and it's been driving me crazy for the longest time!

Here is the fix that I found:

Under the touch screen pull down for <Settings>,< PC Settings>= <PC and Devices> (after you go and click on it - smh) - Must Switch to Modern UI to find this, then search for <PC Settings>

(BTW I hate this Touchscreen Modern UI Menu - I don't ever use it except when I have to, normally I always use the old windows desktop and start menu searches)

At the top of the screen Select "Adjust my Screen Brightness Automatically" switch to OFF!

This seems to be a common problem with Lenovo device. The way I solved it was to swipe down on the left hand side. Under Endurance you will see a pair of sunglasses on the extreme right hand side.Touch to disable and the screen should go brighter immediately. This seems to have solved the problem for me.

Hello. The easiest way in windows 10 is left click on the start button, go to settings, go to system, click on display and where it says change brightness automatically when lighting changes, take the tick out of the box. Job done…… You’re all welcome.
