Battery door won't stay closed
Battery compartment door won't stay closed...Currently I have a piece of tape, it works but.......

They all end up that way in the end, and I've searched in vain for about 10 years for an answer, but there doesn't seem to be one - it's a design fault, so black sticky tape I'm afraid...

Put a thin strip of card in alongside the battery as you insert it ,so that it's a good tight fit. I've been using mine like that for ages without problem.

You're a hero, man!!! When I used tape, I tried A LOT of different ones, none of it worked, it always popped back up. This though is amazing. It removes the upward pressure toward the door and combining it with tape, it doesn't pop back up! I do however recommend using electrical tape on the piece of card so it doesn't burn or something similar.

i have a coolpix p 60 the battery door tab is broken that could be your problum . i would like to find a repiar shop or a new door. rnavaughn@att.net
