Replacement of damaged cord possible
I have a microsoft trackball explorer and really like to get the damaged cord fixed as I loved this mouse , is it possible ?

If the mouse is still working but the insulation on the cord is cracking you can fix it with Sugru. Otherwise if you dismantle the mouse it should be possible to chop off the damaged part and solder the good part of the lead to the board or the stump of the wires.

It's according to what kind of shape your current cable is in and where the break is. If it's close to the mouse just cut it off and solder in.
