Power only works outside of case after screen replacement

Hi,

I followed the tutorial to replace the LCD and digitizer on a HTC one M8. Everything went fine until i tried to put the board back into the casing. The power button now doesn't work. Any ideas?

The power does work however if the phone is not in the case.

Update

I did try this today actually and now the button doesn't work at all!! Even out of the case.

I had a similar problem when trying to put the case back on my m8 too. If the power button isn't lined up perfect or inserted correctly it doesn't function properly. If you look at the power button it has a slight angle which should follow the profile of the case. Before inserting the button make sure it is free of dust or any build up also do this for the opening the button fits into. This helps to ensure the button moves freely in the opening. Once this is done hold the case upside down and properly insert the button and while still holding the case upside down try sliding the top of the screen assembly/motherboard in at an angle to meet the power button. Now why keeping the board tight against the top of the case/power button start working your way toward the bottom/charge port snapping the case into place as you go. I hope this helps you out.
