i just replaced the drive belt on my yard machines briggs and sstraton 12.5 and when the belt broke it was smoking pretty bad and now that i got a new belt on it wont go at all! i had the belt on a different way (off the tensioner) and it moved it a couple feet but now that i have it around the tensioner. nothin just like it wants to stall.

simplemowerguy sounds like something is to tight, hence it'll try and stall your engine. If you are sure that the belt is routed properly, check to make sure that the pulleys are all moving freely and that nothing is seized.
