If the screw head protrudes out from its surroundings you may be able to use a needle nose pliers to rotate it by grabbing the outside of the head or you may be able to use a small cutting bit to carve a slot for a flathead screwdriver.
If the screw is flush with its surroundings or sunken in, use a rubber band, place it between the screw and the screwdriver, and press down HARD while rotating.

I like to build a ball of solder on the top of the damaged screw then rotate it out with a pair of needle nose pliers. This works well on iphone screws that get stuck
