How do I get rid of the "storage space running out" warning?

I have a galaxy tab 4. The 7'' which has 8 GB internal memory plus I have a 8gb SD card. I have 455 mb available on the device. The storage space is low warning has been there for a few weeks even after uninstalling games, clearing the cache, and deleting a few other things it won't go away and I can't download anything or update anything. I need help getting it to go away please!!
