Slot to sim cards is lights up (see the underside of the display) ?. It looks like the sim card has no contact with the phone (searching and searching ). Have any have this problem after such repairs?

If you took battery out, it would have reset the time to something like the year 1970, make sure automatic date and time is on, and connect to wifi, once it has changed time etc. put it in airplane mode for a few seconds then turn off, should come back on. :-)

Still some problem, can`t connect to wifi. I think I need to disassemble the phone, and have a look at the antenna. But thanks for the help so far.

The wifi chips on the 4S are a common problem
You can try reflow the wifi chip or replace it, that should help

I have a 5s, the sim worked. Then i wanted to close the phone and forgot to eject the simcard. i guess i moved the whole board (somehow) down and now it doesnt even ask if no simcard (or even the whole slot) is not inserted. its just searching and searching. why isnt it asking for my simcard anymore ???? :/ Thanks
