MacBook Pro won't start from SSD
Hi there,
Short: Macbook Pro won't boot up from SSD with error "launchd died\nState at Last Exception..."
Long: I recently bought a Samsung SSD 850 EVO 1TB SSD for my Mid 2012 15" Macbook Pro to replace the optical drive.
Installation was fine, and then I set about reformatting the drive as a Mac OS Extended (Journaled) drive.
I then booted up the computer in recovery mode, and used Time Machine restore on the SSD. After this, I was told to start it up, then go to System Prefs > Startup Disks > and select the SSD to start up from.
When I then tried to restart I got the error:
pid 1 exited (signal 0, exit 1)panic(cpu 2 caller 0xffffff80059c4594): "launchd died\nState at Last Exception:\n\n"@/SourceCache/ etc...
It then brings up the error screen saying that the Macbook Pro has had an error and will need to restart, starting cycle again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
