Sim holder Slot broken in motherboard

Depends on how they designed the s6 Edge. The older Galaxy phones had removable boards for the sim tray but they also have had models were it is directly soldered on the main board.

The phone will have to be taken apart and then if soldering is needed it will need to be removed and a new port put back on. This is not a task for amateurs.

The S6 Edge Sim tray is indeed direct soldered to the board.

I too have this issue in my galaxy edge S6 plus phone. Took it to the Samsung service. They say any issue of this sort is not under warranty as we have broken. This may also damage the mother board and the cost for a new board is INR 16000. Just fleecing money. Service is too expensive. Never happy with SAMSUNG.

Try on Amazon and it costs 599/-. I recently purchased.

Hello I had the same problem if you have luck the slim slot possibly works if you pulling the broken part out but for that you must disassemble your smartphone ! On YouTube is videos how you do that and on the Mainboard you can see the sim card slot and pull it out ! And test it if the slim card slot works ! İf not the slim card slot doesn't not recognize the sim card then you must soldering a new sim card slot over eBay is cheap the price .

I had to solder it . Don't forget the back cover is made of glass be carful and don't forget to buy back cover adhesive film !
