Hi my Hotpoint LST216A dishwasher stops after a few mins and shows flashing lights. The power button and program buttons 1 and 3 keep flashing. Also there is water inside the dishwasher that I am assuming was from the first few mins before the dishwasher stopped. Any idea what this could be?

The heating element heats up the water to operating temperature. If the water doesn’t reach the proper temperature after a set amount of time, a light on the control panel might start flashing. To determine if the heating element has burned out, use a multimeter to test it for continuity. If the heating element does not have continuity, replace it.

discharge pump usually on for a few seconds then it fills then the wash motor should kick in and spray arms rotate. 1 and 3 think its probably wash motor. is it humming slightly? just before lights flash. lighta are a fault code
