Liquid damage to iphone 6. After screen and battery replacement, repair man says that phone will not find carrier from SIM card. Said liquid has damaged that area of phone but everything else works perfectly including wifi. Is there nothing that can be done to fix this phone's service?

There is no easy fix for your phone: The issue is most likely a shorted capacitor or IC within the GSM circuit. Replacing those parts (thats the hard part, since there are so many tiny components, that could cause the lack of a signal) should make your phone functional again.
Here comes the BUT: Not many repair store are able or willing to do those repairs. If you find one, you can try your luck.
But the rule for water damaged phones are always the same:
1) They have to be cleaned properly by removing EMI Shields and ultrasonic cleaning 2) replacing/reflowing/reballing damaged or corroded parts. I'm sorry to say it, but this is nothing you can do yourself.
I for once do those repairs but I'm located in Europe (Germany) but maybe Tessa can take a look at your phone. Would hate to see your phone in the trash.
PS: Regarding your other Post. Yes it is possible your repair shop is right and the liquid damage has affected only the part of the board that correlates with the GSM/Signal Function, it is even quite common. It depends on and which part of the phone was affected and how much liquid reached the logicboard.

Oh Wow, no wonder not many repairmen are willing to take on that task. I just would've liked more info from repair place instead of it can't be fixed-plain and simple. Maybe luck will find me and another repair place can figure it out. Lol and yeah I don't think I'll be traveling from the US (Virginia) to Germany in the near future. Thanks so much for all the information. I'll at least have a little knowledge to take with me.
