iMac G4 20" 1.25 GHz No video to monitor

I'm trying to restore an old iMac G4 20" machine. Right now there is no display on the monitor. So I'm in the process of getting the min VGA to VGA cable to see if a second monitor gets a signal. But I noticed that with the original flat panel monitor the light on the monitor does not come on. I've taken it apart and it looks like all the cables to the monitor feed from the same connection on the logic board. So does that lean towards a problem with the logic board? If so, it seems like all video output wouldn't work. Any thoughts or help is appreciated.
