Won't boot stays on white screen and keeps loading forever
i turn on my MacBook Pro from 2010 and it won't boot past the loading screen what could be my problem?

Buy a NEW hard drive/IR cable and hope it has not destroyed your hard drive. I personally prefer the 2012 replacement cable as it is less likely to fail.

90% chance bad hard drive/corrupted OS. Try fresh OS on fresh drive and see if it fixes it. This is a great time to upgrade to an SSD if you still have a mechanical hard drive in there! If you have a 2nd computer testing the drive is simple; if not, it is a little trickier. Do you have a spare computer?

If you have a second Mac setup yours in Target Mode and then connect it with either a FireWire, Ethernet or Thunderbolt cable to the other system. Then you can use the other system to run Disk Utility.
