Display altered slow refresh rate of the images and vertical Black band

Hi,

My macbook air has a fault since the last 3 days.

The computer didn't fall.

I've tried already the combination of cmd+alt+P+R but not working so far.

I've run the diagnostic pressing D and nothing showed up.

Trying to connect to an external monitor everything is fine so I guess is not a graphic card issue but something around the connection of the display.

The colors are wrong, almost all white and when I move the mouse or the display has to refresh the transition is visible and super slow.

On the left side there is also a black band of 3cm where is very dark and the image is mirrored.

Is it possible that is only a connector and if so what's the name of the component?

That would imply the lid assembly needs to be replaced. Here's the IFIXIT guide: MacBook Air 13" Mid 2013 Display Assembly Replacement

Most likely the logic on the back of the panel is damaged. Did you bang or place something heavy on the lid?

I would say better than 80% of the time it was a bang or something was sat on the lid that was very heavy. Sorry to tell you that ;-{
