MacBook Air Backlight turns on and then off at startup, no display.

Ok, so my problem was that someone had spilled water over the macbook air, the screen would come on and then it would work. Just the trackpad didn't work.

Now when I took the mac apart, I found an older macbook pro with a broken screen so I decided to connect the screen from the macbook air 2011 to the older macbook pro in hopes of the other older one working. But it didn't work, and now I think that I might have fried my screen.

The trackpad works, when I connect it to an external display it works fine. As soon as I start it, backlight comes on, and then turns off. And nothing can be seen, its completely blank.

What is the best possible way to tackle this? What do I need to replace or should I try to repair my current Lcd?

Thanks

Feedback via from D9701 to feedback ball of LP8550 is corroded, check it out. You probably get 0.458 to 0.511 if you put multimeter in diode mode and do a measurement with red probe on ground and black probe on pins 3/4 of LCD connector instead of the 0.519-0.546 you're supposed to. Clean off liquid damage and look at what ball A5 of U9701 looks like under a microscope.

Check what voltage you get with a known working LCD plugged in on pins 3/4 of the LCD connector. 0v? 8v? 18v? 27v?
