Red screen on boot looping (flex cable?)

Hi desperate for any help here.

Fixing an iPhone 5s screen placed it all back together and I just get a looping red screen. If i remove the front camera flex cable the phone boots, but I can't hear anything out of the ear speaker.

If I plug it back in, the phone just red screens again.

My question - does this flex cable work the ear speaker as well? If I plug the cable in when the phone is on, the speaker works but once restarted it just loops on boot again

Will a new front camera flex cable fix this issue??
