Hi there, it might be, Have you had a chance to take a look at the logic board? Check for corrosion first. Use the ifixit guide to get to the components Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Take a couple of good picture of the board and attach those to your question so we can see what you see. You will definitely need a new new battery.

Hi Dylan, it could be repairable depending on the extent of damage. If you are extremely lucky and the damage is very superficial and/or limited, then cleaning the board may bring it back to life. However, after all this time I do believe components must have deteriorated, but could be clearly visible (usually they are on a Samsung board). And they could be replaced with the right tools and skills. Although those may be out of your scope, but some pros can do it. If too many things are damaged such as screen + connectors on the board + many components on the board + major chips/IC's + the battery, then it could be theoretically feasible but not economically. As you said, the place to start is taking apart your phone and posting good quality pictures of both sides of your logic board. Pictures taken with your phone will not be helpful. Get a good camera.

Dylan, anything is possible. Right now you do not have anything to lose. If you do not have access to an ultrasonic cleaner, I suggest you get some 90%+ isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush. Clean your board and all the other parts with it. Use this guide to see how to properly clean it. It was written for an iPhone but all the points a re still pertinent to yours as well. Remove all the EMI shields to clean under there as well. Once you have it cleaned, check all the components on the board. Make sure none are missing, or otherwise damaged. Make sure all the cable ends and connectors are also cleaned. Then reassemble, replace the battery and re-evaluate. The cost for now should only be for the alcohol and a new battery, so at least I'd give it a try. Water damage is the hardest to diagnose, and to repair, since any part may have failed. Yours situation is made worth by giving it time to corrode. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Battery Replacement

Judging from the image, it doesn't seem like it is repairable. If it is, it will require someone who is an expert in cellphone board work. Repairing the device, if it is possible it will most likely exceed the value of device. Is only worth it to attempt a repair on the device only for data recovery purpose.

First step is to clean the board with alcohol and a toothbrush.

Sorry about that Dylan. But i also have the same issue. My samsung galaxy note 3 fell in water and i couldnt wipe it but after like two hours i found rice and deeped it in after like four hours i tried to switch on but it couldnot start. I took it to someone who could repair it . Apparently it starts it can charge and the apps show but they dont work after some minutes it goes on and off. I have been told to buy a new motherboard. Do you think it can grately help. some advice please. sharon
