Why does it power up but my screen is blank?

I'm not sure what happened maybe got wet. I let my brother use it an when I got it back there were lines in the screen and the screen was flashing. Then it just stopped working completely. The screen doesn't work but the menu and back buttons light up and it still powers up. Can it be fixed?
