iPad unresponsive following a navy blue screen after replacing screen

Hi there,

I did try finding the answer through other questions posted but have not come across anyone in a situation exactly like mine.

I'm clumsy so my iPad has been through a lot. Yesterday I replaced its cracked screen as I've done already four times before and when I was finished assembling it, I turned it on to test out the new screen. It was not responding to touch at all so I disassembled it again and made sure the screen's digitizer ribbon was all the way in the "sockets". The screen still was not responding to touch so the next time I checked the ribbons' placement, I also unplugged the lcd ribbon from its socket and placed it back in properly. Without assembling the iPad first, I pressed the power button to see if it was responding and the screen would not come on so i, once again, disconnected then reconnected the ribbon and that is when the lcd turned navy blue. Quite puzzled at this point, I reassembled everything and attempted a hard reset. This helped the navy blue screen to go away but the screen has not shown anything since.

I found out that the lcd's ribbon being disconnected while the iPad was on probably caused it to completely shut down and my question is, what do I do now?

iTunes does not recognize my iPad. The lcd was working perfectly before installation of a new screen / digitizer. I have already tried the following:

-Hard reset with plugged into a wall outlet

-DFU mode (still not recognized by iTunes)

-Leaving it unplugged and unbothered for 24 hours, then trying the hard reset

-Checking for any damaged cables / ribbons / hardware, all looks good

If there is a way to disconnect the battery (without completely removing it) and then reconnect it, I believe it would be ideal so that the battery would just reset but am not sure if that is possible.

Any new suggestions are greatly appreciated as I need my iPad working ASAP for my job.

I also read that the iPad may just need to completey die but I don't remember how much charge it had, nor do I know if the battery can actually even die down when powered off already.
