Will my iPad turn on?

I attempted to fix the Lightning Port on my iPad 4 (WiFi only model) in the process of doing this, however, I cracked the digitizer, broke the speaker cable, broke the wifi antenna, broke the home button, and punctured the battery. I have removed all these components and ordered new ones off eBay.

My question is will my iPad power up without installing the WiFi antenna, digitalizer, and speaker (which are taking longer to deliver)? And if it doesn't what should I try (my friend talked about doing a 'hard reset')?

If you "cracked the digitizer, broke the speaker cable, broke the wifi antenna, broke the home button, and punctured the battery" during a repair attempt, maybe you should not try handling repairs and leave it to the pros. It may cost you a whole lot less in the long run.

You make a valid point... but I don't want to give up. I also won't be overly concerned if it turns out it cannot be fixed, as I saved the iPad from being thrown away by a colleague at work.

Ebay parts are really low quality --especially digitizer screens. But yes, your iPad should turn on even if it is just the board on a good battery with a lightning dock connected. If iTunes doesn't recognize it, then you have a dead PMIC and the device is not repairable. This is highly likely to be your original problem.

Restore via iTunes is a waste of time. You can't use a software solution to solve a hardware defect.

Hard reset--aka any number of ways to essentially disconnect the device from power and turn on again. You've already done that if you have the board off the battery.
