My Asus X54C won't power on?

I have been having a problem with my laptop not powering on. I have windows 7. I have taken the unplugged the charger, removed the battery and tried holding the power button for 30 seconds and

then plugged the charger back in and put the battery back and it still doesn't turn on. It has

happened several times before and eventually it will power on, but not today... Can someone give me any suggestions? Thank you

it is probably the dc charging socket do any of the lights come on on the front of the laptop when you plug the charger in normaly orange when charging and green when fully charged.if not i would guess it is a broken charge port it seems it is a common problem on this model.they are cheap and easy to find but a bit dificult to actualy change.
