Hi, We could use a little more info to help you--which model PowerBook--what operating system--is the problem just the unit speakers or do you have no audio on the output jack? Ralph

It's broken

seriously - check the headphone jack, if something is stuck in there that could cut off the speakers.

If you've had it appart and didn't reconnect the speaker wire (or broke the contact) same thing.
