does anyone know the internal microphone pin assignments for apple early 2008 macbook air 1,1?
I understand from ifixit pictures the mic is connected to logic board; I ask about pin configs because I'm trying to make mic work under linux, and alsa needs to know about VREF and similar stuff, which apple doesn't make public (notice audio, except mic, works fine in linux)

My goal is make the internal microphone work in Linux. Since this is both the only audio part not working and the only one connected to logic board instad of audio card, I suspect I have to instruct linux kernel, in particular alsa, how to use this device; and in order to do that, usually some VREF, GPIO or other pin assignments are required, even though I'm not completely sure which ones; in particular I'm not sure whether we need to modify the ALC 885 codec part, which is in the sound card, or we need to look for a different device/codec.
Are the ones you posted the physical pins from mic cable to logic board plug assignments?
Those are the pinouts from the connector on the logic board.

Hello. I was thinking again about this problem. It is indeed true that mic is connected to logic board, but then it is very likely that via the logic board it's signal is sent back to the audio card, so my question more specifically regards the pin assignment for the mic connection on the realtek alc 885 chip on board the audio card: do you posses a similar picture or data for that?
