Every phone made up until a short time ago was taped and they don't all fail (Obviously) Use good 3M tape and use enough of it in the right places and it will be epic!

LOCA Fused screens are relatively new and I think a dumb idea. We were told this would make them unbreakable and you can see how well this worked. *Not at all. I think loca was invented to make it more expensive to repair thus it makes people more likely to replace rather then repair. A digi might cost $10 or $12. The Digi plus the LCD is more like $50 or $60. Taking broken glass (Digi) from a phone thats fused costs more in time spent. And what really is the point?

BW I believe the same people who decided to make battery replacement so difficult are the same ones that think Loca is a good idea. They want users to replace their phones every 1.5 years (At least) Current Batteries are good for around 400 charges. If you bury and glue it into a phone your insuring replacement in about that time frame. Make any screen problem super expensive and you get customers who think "I might as well sign another 2 year contract and get a "Free" *NOT phone.

If your repairing any volume of phones investigate the "hotplate / Garotting wire" technique. Its not perfect and you will probably goof up some of the LCDs but a lot will be saved and thats money in the bank.

Yeah sure it will work, it will be a terrible repair job but it will work...

People just use ahesive tapes around the edges, it will eventually come away but i've seen repair shops who use this repair so you will be fine as a temporary solution.

If what I do is a "terrible repair job" I'll eat a broken digi. Loca is just a really lame ass way to make repair more expensive in time then its worth so people can get ripped off by signing new 2 year contracts for phones that last 1.5 years. What reason does Loca fused screen have? Do they keep them from breaking? Not a chance. Do they make it easier or cheaper to repair? Not in a million years. I don't know you David but I'm assuming you don't do this for a living. If so do some study. Fix 5 or 600 phones then get back to me on how much you know about loca and buried batteries that are glued into phones to make them more expensive to replace. Folks - listen to people who do these repairs on a regular basis and not nay sayers who are critical about work they have never seen.

I think using stickers around the edges will be the best solution .Because this may cause less damage to LCD and it protects it .But in case loca used LCD has damage on the LCD if the touch panel
