Sim ejector arm stuck in wrong position, how to proceed?

Hello iFixit,

I bought a banged up iphone to repair it into perfect condition. In this I was successful, but now I can't eject my sim-card tray due to the rocking arm that was in the wrong position when I put the tray in.

If you're unsure as to what this is; it's the arm that pushes the tray out, when you push on the other end with the tool or a paperclip. Since it's already fully depressed it doesn't act upon the sim-card tray. Now I haven't found a screw that fits properly as the most "upvoted" suggestion suggested and other methods doesn't work.

Since the tray is connected to the motherboard, I can't disassemble the phone to correct the mistake and thus I'm stuck at the end of a blind road.

Can't you just push it out from the back of the phone? take the case off and push it out from the side of the logic board.

Do you mean the procedure with a plyer? Where you remove the backcover and press it out? Because I already tried that yesterday and it didn't budge.
