Is my bluray drive fixable?

I just got my PS3 yellow light of death repair kit and performed the repair. It seems to have worked okay as my PS3 can now turn on and function. However, it seems during the repair, I may have done something to the bluray drive. When I put a disc in, it took the disc but it's not reading or ejecting it. Searches online for similar problems seemed to tell me it doesn't realize it has a disc inside, but don't really offer any solutions.

Also, in a lesser problem, my wireless can't seem to find networks anymore. I still haven't tried a wired connection yet... Will get around to it soon.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
