How to disassemble an Asus x555 k555 f555 without losing warranty?

Hi, at first sorry for my english, i need an important information, i need to upgrade my asus with an ssd, but i don't want to lose warranty, so i will disassembly my PC, change the HDD with an SSD and re-assembly.

p.s: in case of problems with the pc during the first year, i will replace the ssd with the old hdd.

What i don't know is if that kind of operations will invalidate my asus warranty. Specifically i don't know if they have a way to check if i ever open my laptop.

Is in there any warranty-seal?

Most laptops that have seals they're very easy to see. it will say on the seal if broken voids warranty. you wont just stumble on it and void the warranty. If its not visible they wont know if its been opened and broke by you or by them. That said this is not a upgrade friendly laptop. Its hard to get into, but just as long as you don't break anything(tabs or plastic hooks) opening it up you should be OK. Hope this helps and good luck upgrading

I just ordered this laptop and unfortunately it is not easy to access the internal parts. It appears to me that you need to take the 9 screws out of the bottom of the case and then carefullly pry up the keyboard on the top, starting at the corners. The keyboard is held in place with plastic clips that should pop open. Once the keyboard is loose there are three cables that need to be detached under the keyboard. Be careful not to yank on the keyboard when you are lifting it so you don't break the cables from their latches.

Once the keyboard is off - you should be able to access the memory and Hard Drive, battery, etc. I plan on replacing the Hard Drive with a Solid State Drive.

This laptop is poorly designed and I'm almost tempted to send it back once I receive it. The idiots at Asus who engineered a laptop so you cannot easily get access to the Hard Drive or Battery should be fired.

Also if you do a Youtube search for the Asus X551C dissasembly - you will find a video showing you how to do this. This is not the same notebook but is similar. Also - I dont think you would void the warranty by openning the laptop. I highly doubt there is any way for them to tell you had it open if you are careful.
