I changed out my hard drive but now the computer will not
My new hard drive is not recognizable how can i format this

Start up from your system installation disk by inserting disk and restarting holding down the "C" key. One the second page a pull down menu will appear. Go to Utilities - Disk Utility and format the drive then give it one partition. Make sure it's GUID, mac extended. Now you can install the system and download the updates.
